We are pleased to be able to offer this level of Sencha. A first time offering from Uji, Kyoto!

The leaves have a lovely shiny bluish tint and a light seaweed type umami. This is due to the shading process which is short and from the cultivar: Okumidori/Yabukita Blend. There is also a delightful nutty aftertaste that lingers with no bitterness. A wonderful mouth feel!

Den's Preferred Brewing:
Leaf-water ratio: 2-3g (1 rounded tsp) per 4oz
Water: 160F
Steep: 90 sec 2nd
Cup: Water @ 180F; steep 30 sec

Ingredients: Japanese green tea
Directions: Heat 6-8 oz of fresh water to 160ºF. Use 1/2 -1 teaspoon of tea. 1st steep 90 seconds. 2nd infusion: 180ºF for 30 seconds.
