Brookland Rose Garden

Brookland Rose Garden

Also known informally as "Little Rome" due to the influence of the Catholic Church and the italian demographic back in the 1920s, we pay deep respect to the little neighborhood we call home: Brookland. When we discovered this little village back in 2003, we had to refer to it as "near Catholic University" for anyone to know what we were talking about or where it was. A hidden enclave, devoid of trend and pretention we looked upon our new home as great fortune that we landed in a neighborhood similar to our hometown of Brooklyn, NY. We love the diversity of people, the quiet and the stunning green spaces. Voted one of the hottest neighborhoods to live in DC, we have seen many changes to our little hood, but we still love it nonetheless.

12+ years of morning walks to the Franciscan Monastery, visits to the National Arborteum, cheap breakfasts at our favorite local joint and wonderful neighbors have inspired this tea blend of rooibos, black tea, cacao, lavender and cayenne pepper make this as unexpected in flavor as it was to us when we moved here.
